Having had the honor of welcoming Uncle Ho to visit, Ms. Vuong Thi Trinh in An Thuong Nam Chinh village (Nam Sach) has always been exemplary, actively implementing the patriotic hygiene movement and building new rural areas.

The well where Uncle Ho visited in the past is still preserved and used by Mrs. Trinh's family.

Promoting the tradition of her family and her hometown - the place where Uncle Ho once visited, Ms. Vuong Thi Trinh is always exemplary and active in local movements, especially the patriotic hygiene movement and new rural construction.

In the small, clean and cozy house, Mrs. Trinh’s family carefully preserves the photos of Uncle Ho visiting in the past. On the wall in the living room, the photo of Uncle Ho visiting her family in 1965, the photo of former President Truong Tan Sang visiting later are hung solemnly along with the certificates of merit from the Fatherland recognizing the sacrifice of relatives in the resistance war as sacred and priceless assets that her family is very proud of.

This year, Mrs. Trinh is 80 years old, and every time February 15th approaches, she recalls the memories of welcoming Uncle Ho to visit on this day in 1965. At that time, she was a teacher at Nam Chinh Primary School. Although she did not meet Uncle Ho, through her mother-in-law (Mrs. Vuong Thi Khe), Uncle Ho visited and praised the family's well, which made her very touched and proud. The model of the open well (providing clean water for daily use) and the two-compartment latrine (with a compartment for composting organic fertilizer for the fields) is also a model in the locality. After that, Mrs. Trinh's family's sanitation model was replicated throughout the commune, the district and many localities across the country.

The honor and pride of welcoming Uncle Ho to visit became the motivation for her to always try and be exemplary in all her work, even in difficult circumstances. She encouraged her husband to join the resistance war against America. In the rear, she fulfilled her duties as a daughter-in-law, a "soldier" on the podium. In February 1969, her husband sacrificed his life. Mrs. Trinh raised her children alone. She always fulfilled her duties as the eldest daughter-in-law in the family, was a typical policy family, and was an active member of the women's association in local movements.

In 2012, President Truong Tan Sang visited Nam Chinh commune and launched a patriotic sanitation movement to improve people's health at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site. The President and his delegation also visited Mrs. Trinh's family. The family's previous model sanitation model is still preserved by her, considered a precious memory of the family and a historical relic of her hometown.

Mrs. Trinh's family (Mrs. Trinh wearing purple ao dai) was honored to welcome President Truong Tan Sang to visit the typical sanitation model in 2012.

In 2017, An Thuong village was chosen by the District Party Committee and the People's Committee of Nam Sach district as a pilot to replicate the waste classification model at source. Mrs. Trinh's family is very active in this activity. In addition to using two plastic bins (green bin and red bin) to classify waste, Mrs. Trinh's family also dug a hole to process organic waste in the garden to make fertilizer for plants. Mrs. Trinh's family's waste classification model has been recognized by the local government as a model, typical. Many associations, unions in the commune, many families, and members in the village have come to learn from the experience.

Along with ensuring environmental sanitation, participating in donating land for road construction, building new rural areas, building and maintaining family traditions, Ms. Trinh also actively propagates and guides other members and people in the village to build sanitation models, actively contributing to the patriotic sanitation movement in the locality. In 2022, Ms. Vuong Thi Trinh was awarded a certificate of merit by the Women's Union of Nam Sach district.
