What is land planning?

How to check if land is in planning or not

To know whether the land plot they intend to buy is in the planning area or not, buyers can check in the following ways:

Check information on the red book

Normally, planning information is recorded in the notes section on the red book if the land already has a book. It will clearly state which planning area the land is in.

Through that, buyers can consider whether the land is suitable for their needs or not.

Check at the People's Committee headquarters

People can check the land use planning at the headquarters of the People's Committee of the commune, ward or town where the land is related to the land use planning. This method is suitable for land transactions between people in the same area.

Contact the authorities

People can directly contact the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of the district where the land is located to ask for planning information. Based on the information provided by the people, the competent officials will check and answer whether the land is subject to planning or not.

Contact the Land Registry Office

People can find out land information provided by the State through a request form. Note that to exploit information on planning and approved land use plans, a fee must be paid.

Look up information online

To get planning information, people can access the electronic information portal of the People's Committee of the district/county where the land is located and view the posted information.

However, this form of search has not yet been widely developed in localities.
