The baby girl's umbilical cord was still intact, wrapped in some clothes, and placed in a plastic basket at the dike guard post in Tuan Viet commune, Kim Thanh (Hai Duong).
On the morning of February 11, Mr. Ninh Van Khanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuan Viet Commune (Kim Thanh) said that a baby girl had just been discovered abandoned at a dike guard post in Cam Dong village.
Specifically, at 6:30 a.m. on February 11, local people discovered an abandoned newborn baby at a dike watchtower in Cam Dong village (right bank of Kinh Mon river), Tuan Viet commune. The baby still had its umbilical cord attached, wrapped in some clothes, placed in a plastic basket in the dike watchtower, without any papers or other assets.
Upon receiving the report from the people, Tuan Viet Commune Police coordinated to take the baby to Tuan Viet Commune Health Station for first aid and health check. The baby girl has no deformities and weighs 2.8 kg. Currently, the baby's health condition has stabilized and the locality has temporarily handed her over to Tuan Viet Commune Health Station for care and nurturing.
It is known that from 2022 to now, at the above dike guard station area, there have been 3 abandoned children, including 2 boys and 1 girl.
