The baby abandoned at Tram Bong market area, Quang Minh commune, Gia Loc district (Hai Duong) was picked up by his biological mother.
On November 4, Mr. Nguyen Huu Bien, Chairman of Quang Minh Commune People's Committee, said that the locality had handed over the abandoned baby at Tram Bong market to his parents for care and raising.
“We also ask and explain to the child’s parents that loving and caring for the child is not just a simple act of love, but also a duty and responsibility of parents. The child’s parents also pledge not to let this heartbreaking incident happen again,” said Mr. Bien.
After the Quang Minh People's Committee informed about the abandoned baby in the Tram Bong market area, Ms. NTN (born in 1997), from Ho Chi Minh City, went to the locality to complete the procedures to get her child back. Ms. N. submitted a request to get her child back, provided her identification documents and conducted a DNA test to prove the blood relationship between her and the baby.
Quang Minh Commune Police verified the information provided by Ms. N. and confirmed that she and the baby were related by blood, so the Commune People's Committee returned the baby to its biological mother on November 2. When returned to its mother, the baby was healthy and developing normally.
Ms. N. promised to love her child and not let this heartbreaking incident happen again.
At around 9pm on October 29, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Van in Minh Tan village went to exercise at Tram Bong market area when she heard a baby crying. Ms. Van quickly reported to the local authorities and took the baby home to take care of. Quang Minh commune People's Committee temporarily entrusted the baby to Ms. Van and at the same time announced to find the baby's relatives.
