"Kung Fu Panda" returns to the big screen

Po the panda - voiced by Jack Black - returns to the big screen in the fourth installment of "Kung Fu Panda", after seven years.

In the trailer released on December 14, the panda Po (Jack Black) has become the Dragon Warrior, with unparalleled strength. After defeating the villains three times in the previous part, Po is nominated to be the leader of the Valley of Peace.

This leads Po into some hilarious situations, like learning the art of meditation and trying to diet. Most importantly, Po needs to find and train someone else to become the Dragon Warrior, before taking on his new position.

One day, the sorceress Chameleon (Viola Davis) appears, threatening the peace of humanity. Chameleon has the ability to transform into any creature, even copying the martial arts of any master. While tracking the villain, Po accidentally meets Zhen (Awkwafina), a fox wanted for theft. Zhen promises to help Po catch criminals if they work together. Po and Zhen must convince many criminals to fight together, in order to defeat Chameleon and the chameleon army.

The film is directed by Mike Mitchell and Stephanie Ma Stine and produced by Rebecca Huntley. The script is written by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. The voice cast marks the return of Jack Black (as Po), Dustin Hoffman (as Kung Fu master Shifu), James Hong (Po's adoptive father - Mr. Ping). Quan Ke Huy - the 2023 Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actor - voices a new character named Han.
