Kinh Mon bans trucks from moving on the dike

On September 10, the People's Committee of Kinh Mon town issued a notice prohibiting trucks from traveling on the dike section through the town until further notice.

The vehicle ban aims to ensure the safety of dike works, facilitating patrolling and guarding the dikes in the face of increasingly complicated flood and rain situations.

Also on September 10, Kinh Mon Town People's Committee handled and reinforced 9 culverts across the dike. Of which, Ben Trieu culvert (That Hung ward), Pham Xa culvert (Hien Thanh ward) are critical points, 7 other culverts are not critical points but are leaking, scattered in communes and wards.

Due to the level of danger, some culverts were completely blocked. Other culverts were reinforced and sealed with earthen sacks. In addition, the old entrance to the Trieu ferry was also reinforced with sandbags to prevent water from overflowing onto Provincial Road 389 and residential areas.

The whole town has 86,049 km of dikes of all kinds, 97 culverts across the dikes and 19 embankments, of which there are 4 key dike points: Xa Son embankment, That Hung embankment, Pham Xa culvert, Ben Trieu culvert. These culverts and embankments are closely monitored to ensure safety during the rainy season.
