According to the report of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), as of 7:00 a.m. today, September 10, river dykes in provinces and cities with floods such as Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa have not yet experienced any incidents of dike safety loss.
Sea dykes in provinces from Quang Ninh to Ninh Binh did not experience any incidents of dike safety loss due to storm No. 3. However, some localities suffered damage to some auxiliary structures due to the storm's impact (damaged dyke watchtowers, load plates, dyke management units... in Bac Ninh); broken bamboo fences (Bac Ninh, Hai Duong).
According to the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention, other level 3 and above dikes also did not receive information about dike incidents.
Regarding the flood situation, the flood risk warning level has reached level 3. Floods on the Thao River in Lao Cai are slowly receding, and rising in Bao Ha, Yen Bai; floods on the Cau River (Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh) and the Thuong River (Bac Giang) are rising; and the Luc Nam River (Bac Giang) is slowly receding.
Floods on the Thao River in Lao Cai are forecast to remain above alert level 3; in Bao Ha, Yen Bai, floods continue to rise above historical levels; floods on the Cau River, Thuong River, Red River, and Thai Binh River continue to rise; floods on the Lo River are likely to peak; floods on the Luc Nam River recede slowly.
The Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control warned that the flood on the Hoang Long River continued to fall below alert level 1; there was a flood on other rivers in the Northern region. During this flood, the flood peak on small rivers in the northern mountainous provinces, especially in Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Bac Giang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Hoa Binh, Son La provinces, rose to alert level 2-3, with some rivers above alert level 3.
