Prosecution of former Vice Chairman and some officials of Binh Thuan province

The Investigation Police Agency - Ministry of Public Security is expanding the investigation into the case of "Violating regulations on management and use of State assets causing loss and waste" occurring at the Phan Thiet coastal urban tourism project in Phu Thuy ward, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province, invested by Rang Dong Joint Stock Company.

On July 3, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency issued a decision to prosecute and arrest the accused for temporary detention, and a search warrant for the residence and workplace of 5 individuals for the crime of "Violating regulations on management and use of State assets causing loss and waste", as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 219 of the Penal Code, including: Nguyen Ngoc, former Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province; Le Quang Vinh, Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Quy district, Binh Thuan province; Huynh Luong Thien, specialist of the Department of Investment and Construction Planning under the Office of the Provincial People's Committee;

Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Southern Information and Valuation Joint Stock Company; Truong Van Ri, former Deputy General Director of Southern Information and Valuation Joint Stock Company and Director of the company's branch in Binh Thuan province.

After being approved by the Supreme People's Procuracy (Department 5), on July 4, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency organized the execution of the above criminal proceedings order and decision in accordance with the law.
