Suspect prosecuted for blocking car, stabbing ex-lover to death in Hanoi

On the afternoon of September 18, a leader of Thanh Oai District Police (Hanoi) said that they had initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and detained Truong Nhat Nho (born in 1994, in Binh Sa Commune, Thang Binh District, Quang Nam Province) to investigate the act of "Murder".

According to the Thanh Oai District Police, the victim in the case is Ms. D.H. (born in 1995, in Thanh Oai District, Hanoi). Ms. H. and defendant Nho had a relationship before but broke up. The case is being transferred by Thanh Oai District Police to the Hanoi City Police for handling according to their authority.

Before that, at around 7:30 a.m. on September 13, Nho drove his motorbike to Cu Da village (Cu Khe commune, Thanh Oai district) and stopped on the side of the road, waiting for Ms. H. to pass by on her way to work, with the intention of talking.

But when she saw Nho, Ms. H. accelerated and sped past. Nho drove after her, but Ms. H. still refused to stop to talk. After driving a short distance, Ms. H. tried to turn into a friend's house when Nho blocked her car.

Ms. H. was about to get out of the car when Nho suddenly pulled out a knife he had prepared earlier (hidden in his pocket) and stabbed her 4 times in the chest and stomach.

Ms. H. was taken to Hospital 103 by local people for emergency treatment but died outside the hospital. Nho was restrained and arrested by local people immediately after the incident.

Upon receiving the information, Cu Khe Commune Police and Thanh Oai District Police Department quickly began investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident. The police arrested Truong Nhat Nho for murder and seized the vehicle and weapon used to commit the crime.
