Prosecution of "temporary" husband for murdering pregnant wife and her parents in Ca Mau

On December 12, regarding the massacre of three people at a private home in Ca Mau province, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency decided to prosecute Bui Vu Khoa (23 years old, residing in Gia Rai town, Bac Lieu) for "murder" and "robbery".

Khoa is the "temporary" husband of the victim PLK (38 years old, residing in Lang Cung hamlet, Thanh Phu commune, Cai Nuoc district, pregnant).

Confessing to the police, Khoa said that he killed his wife because during the time they lived together, when life was at a standstill, he was criticized harshly by his "temporary" wife's parents, so he felt resentful...

The defendant also stated that the victim PLK had intended to commit suicide. But at that time, Khoa advised his wife to wait until she gave birth and then find a job. However, the tormenting words increased, the resentment in his heart grew, the defendant intended to kill his wife and then commit suicide to free both of them.

At around 7:00 a.m. on November 26, while the couple was in their own room, Khoa strangled his wife, Ms. PLK, to death.

Seeing his wife dead, Khoa covered the victim with a blanket as if she was sleeping, then left the room, lay on the hammock and thought of a way to kill his wife's parents, Mr. PVS (69 years old) and Mrs. TTG (68 years old).

But then, Mr. S's son and his wife came home to visit; the whole family organized a meal. At around 2 p.m., Mr. S's son and his wife left.

At 4 p.m. the same day, when he saw his mother-in-law cleaning behind the house, Khoa strangled Mrs. TTG to death. After committing the crime, Khoa dragged Mrs. G.'s body and placed it near the shrimp pond near the house.

About an hour later, seeing Mr. S. in the room, Khoa went behind the house to get a hammer and hit his father-in-law in the head, causing him to fall unconscious on the brick floor; the suspect then threw the weapon into the pond next to the house.

Next, Khoa rummaged through his father-in-law's room, took 55 million VND, and put it in the trunk of the victim's car parked in the house.

At this time, Khoa saw that Mr. S. had regained consciousness, so he continued to use a piece of wood (about 50cm long) to hit the victim many times on the head. Fearing that the victim would continue to regain consciousness, Khoa used a knife to stab Mr. S. in the back many times until he died.

As reported, at around 1:30 p.m. on December 4, Mr. S.’s daughter returned home to visit her family. Upon arriving, the daughter found the house locked and detected a foul odor. Suspecting something was wrong, she called on the neighbors to break down the door to check.

There, everyone was shocked to discover that Mr. PVS had died in the bedroom, and Ms. PLK had died in the next room. Ms. TTG was found dead in the back garden.

At 5:15 p.m. the same day, suspect Bui Vu Khoa was arrested while hiding in Dinh Binh commune, Ca Mau city.
