A representative of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hai Duong said that this lychee crop has about 20 tons of Thanh Ha lychees introduced in meals on many international flights. This is the first year Thanh Ha lychees have been included in the meals of Vietnam Airlines and some other airlines.
Lychee is included in meals served to business class passengers on international flights of Vietnam Airlines and Bamboo Airways. Lychee is purchased from lychee growing areas that meet VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, which are qualified for export to Japan, the US, Australia, and Europe. Lychee has a sweet, characteristic aroma, and smaller seeds than lychee grown in other provinces. Therefore, after enjoying it, diners all highly appreciate the quality of Thanh Ha lychee.
In early June, Hai Duong province organized the event “Thanh Ha litchi flies with diners”. This event not only helps domestic and international diners know more about Thanh Ha litchi but also provides an opportunity for this fruit to reach high-end markets around the world.
