The first Honda Dax ST125 2024 arrives in Vietnam, priced at over 90 million VND

In early June, a store specializing in imported motorbikes in District 5, Ho Chi Minh City brought in a shipment of Honda Dax 2024. This is a slightly upgraded version with some changes in paint color and identification stickers, last launched at the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) held last April.

The Honda Dax ST125 2024 retains the same overall design as its predecessor, built on a T-shaped steel frame structure. The name of this model comes from the Dachshund dog breed (sausage dog, sausage dog). The streamlined, low-height design of the vehicle is quite similar to the shape of this dog breed.

On the body of the car, the badge with the image of a Dachshund with a helmet on its head and wheel-shaped legs symbolizes the small, playful style that this car line aims for. The badge on the Dax 2024 is painted with the body of the car instead of the embossed style like the previous generation.

Another change on the Dax ST125 2024 is the reflective decal, which increases visibility when traveling at night. The front and rear fenders are painted the same color as the body. On previous Dax models, the fenders were painted white.

Other equipment on the car remains the same as the previous version. The car has upside-down front shock absorbers, disc brakes on both wheels, the front wheel has an anti-lock braking system ABS. The headlights and taillights are all LED. LCD speedometer.

Honda's tiny car has dimensions of length, width, and height of 1,760 mm, 760 mm, 1,020 mm, and a seat height of 775 mm. Gross weight is 106 kg.

Honda Dax ST125 2024 is equipped with a 124cc engine, 9.25 horsepower, maximum torque of 10.8 Nm. 4-speed gearbox.

The importer did not disclose the specific selling price but said that the 2024 Honda Dax ST125 costs no less than 90 million VND. Dax belongs to Honda's minibike product line aimed at young people, alongside the MSX (Grom), Monkey, and Super Cub. With its unique design and high price, Dax is only for a small group of customers.

In 2018, Honda Vietnam brought two models MSX priced at 50 million VND and Monkey priced at 85 million VND for official sale, imported from Thailand, but then discontinued due to low demand. The Dax line has not been officially sold but only imported into the country as private imports.
