On the morning of September 27, the Farmers' Association of Hai Duong province distributed nearly 2.8 quintals of vegetable seeds to localities to support farmers in restoring production due to the impact of storm No. 3.
This amount of seeds is divided equally among districts, towns, and cities, from 23 - 24 kg/unit. Including 11 types such as: water spinach, white radish, large-leaf green mustard, sweet green bok choy... The Provincial Farmers' Association requested the District Farmers' Association to quickly distribute to communes and towns to deliver to the people.
Due to the impact of the storm and flood, many vegetable areas in the province were flooded and completely damaged, including many vegetable seed areas. After the storm passed, the price of vegetable seeds doubled or tripled compared to before. Some types of vegetables such as heat-resistant cabbage even cost up to 60 million VND/kg of seeds.
This support helps farmers reduce costs and quickly restore production.
Previously, the Vietnam Seed Trade Association supported Hai Duong with nearly 2.8 quintals of various vegetable seeds.
