Hai Duong province is the leading locality in the Red River Delta in terms of concentrated vegetable and fruit production areas. Currently, the whole province has 500 vegetable and fruit production areas with a scale of 5 hectares/area or more.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hai Duong province, the whole province has more than 500 concentrated vegetable and fruit production areas of 5 hectares or more per area with a total area of ​​8,500 hectares. Hai Duong is the leading locality in the Red River Delta in building concentrated production areas with typical key crops such as carrots, cabbage, lychees, custard apples, grapefruits, etc.

In addition to the concentrated production area, Hai Duong has more than 15,500 hectares of vegetables and fruits produced according to safe processes. Of which, more than 1,500 hectares have been certified to meet VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, and 150 hectares have been certified for organic production. The entire province has established nearly 290 export growing area codes with an area of ​​nearly 2,000 hectares.
