6/12 Vietnamese teams won prizes in their second participation in the VEX Robotics World Championship, the world's largest Robotics tournament.
According to the results announced on May 7, five teams won prizes in the VEX IQ category (for students under 15 years old). Four teams, Switch, Brave (Vinschool, Hanoi), EDS - AE Nha monkey (Edison School, Hung Yen), Xom nha la (Dong Du Secondary and High School, Dak Lak) won first and second prizes in the team category (Teamwork Challenge Division).

Other teams also had impressive results. Team 11 Cao Bang (Cao Bang High School for the Gifted) rose to the world top 49, up 678 places from last year. The remaining teams in the VEX IQ table are all in the top 10.
VEX Robotics is the most advanced and widely used robotics program in education today. In 2018, the VEX Robotics World Championship was recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest Robotics tournament in the world.
This year’s competition took place in Dallas, USA, from April 25 to May 3 with tens of thousands of students from more than 80 countries and territories. Vietnam had 12 teams participating, of which 8 teams competed in the IQ group and 4 teams in the V5 group.
To be selected to compete in the US, the teams all won prizes in the national round organized by STEAM for Vietnam, the American Center (under the US Embassy and Consulate in Vietnam) and Hanoi University of Science and Technology in early 2024. This round attracted nearly 250 teams from 194 schools in 31 provinces and cities with a total of 1,300 students.
