Hai Duong Agricultural Extension Center has provided worm seeds and biological products to 3 households participating in the project "Building a model of worm farming combined with rice production and linking product consumption" on a scale of 10 hectares in An Thanh commune (Tu Ky). This is the first year the project has been implemented in Hai Duong.
Households participating in the project are supported with 50% of the price of rươi seeds and biological products. The Center coordinates with the Agricultural Service Center of Tu Ky district to provide training on rươi farming techniques combined with rice production for households participating in the project and some local households in need.
The supported worm breeds are artificially produced. Adding worm breeds along with biological products helps improve the farming environment in an organic direction, increasing productivity and quality of commercial worm.
The project "Building a model of raising earthworms combined with rice production associated with linking product consumption" is implemented by the National Agricultural Extension Center from 2023 to 2025 in Hai Duong, Thai Binh provinces and Hai Phong city. In 2023, the project will be implemented on 22 hectares, of which Hai Duong province has the largest area with 10 hectares, Thai Binh province and Hai Phong city each with 6 hectares.
