Support for workers affected by business cuts and reductions in orders

This is information in Plan 213 of Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation.

Union members and employees whose working hours are reduced, who have stopped working, whose labor contracts are suspended, who have to take unpaid leave, or whose contracts are terminated due to the company cutting or reducing orders from October 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 will be supported. This is the information in Plan 213 of the Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation.

3 groups of beneficiaries include: union members and employees whose working hours have been reduced or whose jobs have been suspended will receive support from 700,000 to 1 million VND/person; union members and employees whose labor contracts have been suspended or who have been laid off without pay will receive support from 1.4 to 2 million VND/person; union members and employees whose labor contracts have been terminated but who are not eligible for unemployment benefits will receive support from 2.1 to 3 million VND/person.

Each person is paid a one-time support payment in cash or by bank transfer.

Within 5 working days from the date of receipt of complete documents, the grassroots trade union directly superior to the grassroots level shall appraise and submit to the Provincial Federation of Labor. Within 5 working days from the date of receipt of complete documents, the Provincial Federation of Labor shall issue a decision approving the list and support funds. Within 5 working days from the date of receipt of support funds, the grassroots trade union and the grassroots trade union directly superior to the grassroots level shall coordinate with the employer to pay support to union members and employees.

The support fund is allocated to the trade union at the level directly above the grassroots level to be spent from the reserve fund and using the existing regular operation fund. In case the trade union at the level directly above the grassroots level cannot balance the source, the Provincial Federation of Labor will provide compensation.

Application deadline is March 31, 2023.
