Scene one day after plane crash in Quang Nam

At noon on January 10, exactly one day after the incident of military aircraft number 90, type Su22 of Regiment 929 - Division 372 of the Air Defense - Air Force, crashed in the Sa Cat area (Binh Ninh block, Dien Nam Bac ward, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam), according to records, the fuselage and large debris have been cleared.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ha, Vice Chairman of Dien Ban Town People's Committee, said that the work of cleaning up and handling the scene has basically been completed. Currently, the local government is continuing to coordinate with functional agencies to inventory the damage and compensate affected households.

"The front of the plane crashed straight into my spinach field. At that time, I was planting cabbage next to the spinach field. Many pieces of debris flew everywhere, some flew past me, stuck straight into a banana tree and broke in half" - Mrs. Hua Thi Dan - a witness to the moment the plane crashed - recalled.

The jet fuel splashed and burned Mrs. Dan’s crops. This morning, the local government counted the total crop damage and compensated Mrs. Dan’s family with 4 million VND.

According to Ms. Dan, before falling into the water spinach field, the plane's nose hit the bamboo bushes behind her house.

Next to Mrs. Dan's house, a wall behind Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lac's house was also hit by debris from the plane and collapsed.

Initial cause according to information provided by the pilot: While on a training flight, the plane lost control, the pilot parachuted to the ground safely, the plane crashed and exploded.

Immediately after learning about the incident, the People's Committee of Dien Ban town directed the Town Military Command, the Town Police, the People's Committees of Dien Nam Trung Ward and Dien Nam Bac Ward to cordon off the area where the plane crashed, disperse people to protect the scene, and coordinate with Regiment 929 - Division 372, Air Defense - Air Force to handle the incident in accordance with prescribed procedures.
