The Department of Culture, Science and Information in coordination with Kim Thanh District Youth Union organized the Kim Thanh District Pickleball Tournament in 2025.
On March 25, the Department of Culture, Science and Information coordinated with Kim Thanh District Youth Union to organize the 2025 Kim Thanh District Pickleball Tournament at Kim Anh Pickleball Court (Kim Anh Commune). The tournament attracted 82 players from 12 clubs in the district. The players competed in 5 events: men's doubles over 40 years old, men's doubles under 40 years old, mixed doubles, men's singles and women's singles.Kim Thanh district has 18 pickleball courts to serve the training and competition needs of the people. The whole district has nearly 500 people regularly practicing this sport.Competing excellently and winning first prize in the men's doubles event, Mr. Nguyen Duy Phong (Kim Anh Club) shared: "I used to play table tennis and just switched to pickleball 4 months ago. Compared to table tennis, this sport does not require much investment in equipment, costumes or court rental. On average, a new player only needs 5 million VND to start playing."Comrade Nguyen Huu Thong, Secretary of Kim Thanh District Party Committee, awarded the first prize to Kim Anh Club.After 75 exciting and spectacular matches, the organizers awarded prizes to the athletes with high achievements in the competition events.VAN TUAN
