Hai Duong promotes the role of forces protecting the Party's ideological foundation

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Quang Phuc, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee 35, acknowledged that the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting wrong and hostile views in Hai Duong in the past time has been carried out effectively and systematically, promoting the role of participating forces.

The Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee 35 requested that the Steering Committees 35 at all levels continue to thoroughly grasp and fully and deeply understand the nature and importance of the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, especially in the current period.

Party committees, authorities, leaders at all levels and each cadre and party member must always be vigilant against all plots and sabotage activities of hostile forces; focus on leading and organizing the effective implementation of the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation. Strengthen political and ideological education, equip knowledge, and improve the self-defense capacity of cadres and party members against contradictory information and distorted arguments of hostile forces. Continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness of the operations of Steering Committee 35 at all levels.

In 2023, the Steering Committee of 35 provinces led and directed its member units to synchronously deploy many solutions to implement Resolution 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo (12th tenure) on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation. The member units of the Steering Committee of 35 provinces, districts, towns, cities, and Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee have closely followed their tasks and done a good job of propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and domestic and provincial political events. Widely spreading the province's outstanding results and achievements in socio-economic development, national defense, security, Party building and the political system; promoting the image of the homeland, the country, and the Vietnamese people in general, and Hai Duong in particular.

The work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, combating and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints is being carried out more and more effectively with a methodical and strict process, contributing to creating a proactive position to repel erroneous and hostile information and viewpoints against the Party and State...

At the conference, there were many opinions on the results achieved, assessed limitations, causes and made specific recommendations and proposals for the coming time.

In 2024, with the motto "proactive - timely - flexible - creative - effective" to unify thinking and take drastic actions, the Steering Committee of 35 provinces set out a number of key tasks such as focusing on leading, directing, and coordinating the implementation of the Conclusion of the 13th Politburo on "Continuing to strengthen the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation"; concretizing the tasks in the key program to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the 17th Provincial Party Congress...

Focus on improving the quality of training, paying attention to fostering political theory for cadres, party members, trainees and students; updating the content of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints.

Focus on diversifying forms of propaganda, especially on the internet and social networks to better meet the information needs of cadres, party members, and people, especially the youth. Focus on building forces, suing Steering Committee 35, groups of experts, collaborators at all levels...

On this occasion, the Provincial Steering Committee 35 awarded certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views of Hai Duong province in 2023.
