Hai Duong athletes won 6 gold medals in the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival 2024, Region II.

Specifically, Hai Duong athletics won 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 7 bronze medals and ranked 5th overall. Table tennis won 2 gold medals, 8 silver medals, 7 bronze medals, ranked 6th overall. Badminton had 2 silver medals, 11 bronze medals and ranked 6th overall. The remaining sports had no medals, only points.

With a total of 43 medals and 407 points, Hai Duong delegation ranked 8th overall, achieving higher results than Ninh Binh, Ha Nam and Hung Yen. This is an encouraging achievement because Hai Duong delegation only participated in 6/11 events and had fewer athletes than other provinces.
This year, at the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024, Region II, Hai Duong athletes participated in 6 competitions, including: athletics, swimming, table tennis, football, badminton, and aerobics.
The Sports Festival was held in Thai Nguyen from May 23-31 (previously, from May 13-15, athletes competed in athletics in Bac Ninh). The Sports Festival attracted nearly 2,700 athletes from 12 provinces and cities, including: Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Vinh Phuc, Thai Binh and Thai Nguyen.
Athletes competed in 11 events, including: athletics, swimming, table tennis, shuttlecock, soccer, volleyball, basketball, aerobics, badminton, pole pushing and tug of war.
