The Department of Information and Communications in coordination with Hai Duong Telecommunications (VNPT), Viettel Hai Duong, and Mobifone Hai Duong are promoting the service of providing free digital signatures to people and businesses to serve the settlement of administrative procedures (deployed from mid-October 2024).
The Department of Information and Communications requested districts, towns and cities to direct the Department of Culture and Information, the Reception and Result Delivery Department to coordinate with VNPT Hai Duong, Viettel Hai Duong, Mobifone Hai Duong to promote propaganda and provide public digital signature services to people and businesses.
Previously, at the end of June 2024, Chi Linh City was the first locality in the province to deploy free digital signatures for officials, civil servants, public employees, workers, armed forces, people and businesses in the area. To date, the entire city has provided over 2,400 digital signatures to people and businesses.
Currently, 100% of managers and civil servants in charge of handling administrative procedures at units and localities in Hai Duong have been granted digital signatures to serve their work and handle administrative procedures.
With digital signatures, people and businesses can sign and confirm documents online without having to go directly to state administrative agencies to send and receive documents. This helps save time, effort and costs for the state and people. Digital signatures also prevent the possibility of forgery, ensure information security, ensure legality and conform to development trends.
