Hai Duong proactively prevents bad and toxic information on social networks

On the morning of August 15, the Department of Information and Communications held a training conference on modern communication skills and foreign information in 2024 in the province. The conference was attended by more than 70 delegates who are representatives of leaders in charge of foreign information, spokespersons and providing information to the press of departments, branches, sectors, district-level People's Committees; representatives of leaders of press agencies in the province and presidents of friendship associations in the province.

At the conference, delegates listened to the representative of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department convey some contents on foreign information work and preventing bad and toxic information in the new situation. In addition to clarifying many concepts of foreign affairs, foreign information, new communication methods, the topic also raised issues to identify bad and toxic information in the new situation, especially on social networking sites. Thereby further improving the effectiveness of the work of preventing bad and toxic information.

At the training session, delegates listened to journalist Dang Thi Phuong Thao, Deputy Director of the Press Department (Ministry of Information and Communications) share about speaking skills, providing information to the press and handling media crises and incidents. Representatives of the Press Department also answered some opinions about the issue of press contact, methods of checking the principles and purposes of press agencies, etc.
