Recently, there have been a number of mass food poisoning cases across the country. The poisoning incident occurred in Long Khanh City (Dong Nai) on April 30, 2024, with over 450 people hospitalized for treatment.

Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Health to step up propaganda and dissemination of food safety knowledge related to the risk of food poisoning and prevention of poisoning, especially at tourist attractions, festivals, ready-to-eat food processing establishments, collective kitchens, food and beverage establishments, and street food.
