Hai Duong begins paying pensions and social insurance benefits according to new salary levels

On the morning of July 4, pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries at the new salary level began to go to payment points to receive cash. Hai Duong City was the first locality in the province to make direct cash payments on July 4.

According to Decree No. 75/2024/ND-CP dated June 30, 2024 of the Government on adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances, from July 1, 2024, pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances will increase by 15% for groups of officials, civil servants, public employees and workers who are receiving pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances. With a sense of urgency, helping beneficiaries receive benefits quickly and promptly, in the first days of July, the social insurance sector coordinated with the post office to make payments according to the new increase. Recipients of pensions and social insurance benefits in the province through their accounts will start from July 1 to July 10 according to regulations with a total payment amount of nearly 377 billion VND; Recipients of pensions and social insurance benefits in cash will receive them directly at 502 payment points in the province, starting from July 4 to July 9.

According to statistics from the Hai Duong Provincial Social Insurance, the whole province currently has 96,585 people receiving pensions and allowances according to the new salary level. Of which, 26,861 cases were paid directly and 69,724 cases were paid through accounts. The total amount paid was more than 520 billion VND, an increase of nearly 70 billion VND compared to before the salary increase.

On the first day of paying pensions and social insurance benefits in cash according to the new salary level, many beneficiaries were present early at the payment points, receiving pensions and benefits with an excited mood.

Bank staff are also present to support people in registering to receive pensions through their accounts when needed.
