Hanoi
To welcome the new year 2025, Hanoi will hold a music festival and countdown on the evening of December 31 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc and Cach Mang Thang Tam squares.
In addition, the city will organize fireworks displays at 5 locations (6 locations) in Hoan Kiem, Ha Dong, Nam Tu Liem districts, Son Tay town and Dong Anh district. The fireworks display will last 15 minutes, from 0 - 0:15 on January 1, 2025.
In Hoan Kiem district
The Commercial Center Building at 7 Dinh Tien Hoang (also known as the Shark's Jaw Building) is always a "hot" spot for visitors to watch fireworks. The building has many restaurants and cafes. This address is also a place often chosen by photographers because they can take photos between the two directions of fireworks and the entire lake.
Skybars such as Ignite Sky Bar, Terraco Sky Bar, Sol Sky Bar located on the rooftops of hotels in the old quarter such as Cau Go, Hang Dau, Bao Khanh are ideal places to watch fireworks.
These bars all accept reservations and open for guests from around 8pm. Tickets to watch the fireworks, including drinks, music, DJ, and countdown, range from 500,000 to 1.2 million VND per person.
The high floors of some hotels such as Melia Hanoi, Pan Pacific, Movenpick Hanoi, Apricot Hotel, Silk Path Hotel, Grand Hotel du Lac Hanoi, can also observe the fireworks.
In Nam Tu Liem district
The fireworks display location is located at the F1 racetrack in Phu Do ward, with a spacious space and a public fireworks viewing area. The My Dinh stadium square on Le Duc Tho street can accommodate thousands of people.
Apartment buildings nearby such as The Manor, Golden Palace Me Tri, The Matrix One, My Dinh Pearl are all convenient for observing fireworks.
Sky Bar on the top floor of Sheraton Hanoi West Hotel has a direct view of the fireworks display. Entrance fees start from VND250,000 for a drink and VND500,000 for unlimited drinks. There is also a buffet party starting from VND1.7 million per person; a countdown party with a game show. Time: 10pm on December 31st to 1:30am on January 1st, 2025.
In Ha Dong district
The fireworks display is located at Van Quan Lake. This is a public area with playgrounds, parks, and paths around the lake. All apartment buildings can see the fireworks.
Some coffee shops open through New Year's Eve in the Van Quan Lake area: Fordeer Coffee, Cuc Cu Coffee, Xanh Cafe, Laika Cafe.
In Dong Anh district and Son Tay town
The fireworks display location is at the Dong Anh District Sports Center and Son Tay Citadel. These areas do not have tall buildings or are obstructed, so fireworks can be easily observed from all directions in residential areas.
Ho Chi Minh City
The 2025 New Year fireworks display will take place at 3 locations. The high-altitude display will be at the Saigon River Tunnel in Thu Duc City; the two low-altitude displays will be at Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11 and Van Phuc Urban Area in Thu Duc City. The fireworks will be displayed from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2025.

This Japanese restaurant is located on the 28th floor of a building on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, District 1, with a 360-degree view of Ho Chi Minh City from above. From here, visitors can observe the high-altitude fireworks display on New Year's Eve.
On the night of December 31, the restaurant serves a specially designed menu for the New Year's Eve program, priced at VND2.9 million per person. The main course includes fresh sashimi and A5 Wagyu beef.

During holidays and Tet, the restaurant is often fully booked, so visitors should book a table at least 6 hours in advance. The cost of meals here ranges from 500,000 VND per person. The restaurant opens from 5:30 pm to 2:30 pm daily.

The cafe and bar located in Thu Duc City has a prime location on the Saigon River, with a direct view of Thu Thiem Bridge and Saigon Bridge. The restaurant has an open rooftop, making it easy to watch the fireworks.
Drinks here range from juices to creative cocktails. Drink prices range from 80,000 VND per serving. The bar opens from 4:30 pm to past midnight. On New Year's Eve, the bar is expected to be fully booked, so visitors should come early or book in advance to get a good spot to watch the fireworks.
Cruise on Saigon River

Cruises with open spaces and unobstructed views are also an interesting option for visitors to watch fireworks in the city center. Sightseeing and dinner cruises on the river are often anchored at Saigon Port, District 4.
Ben Nghe, Indochina Queen or Hon Ngoc Vien Dong provide dinner and fireworks viewing services on the night of December 31. The cruise ships pick up passengers at Saigon port, travel along the river and drop off passengers at the departure point. The pick-up point is about 4 km from the high-altitude fireworks display.
There are many seating areas on the ship. The best places to watch the fireworks are outdoors or on the deck. To get a good spot, you should book your tickets in advance.
Cruise ships also organize art programs, music performances or magic shows. Cruise tickets including meals range from 400,000 to over 1 million VND. Some units apply additional fees on holidays.
