The great national unity bloc is a priceless asset. We must resolutely fight against the plot to take advantage of the policy of rearranging administrative units to divide.
Recently, the policy of administrative unit arrangement is being implemented by localities across the country. However, while the plans are still in the proposal and evaluation stage, on social networks, there have appeared some ill-intentioned comments, deliberately distorting the nature of this policy, showing signs of dividing the spirit of solidarity among the people.
It is not difficult to come across comments on social networks such as: "this province will be erased", "local officials will lose their seats", "merger to take land" or "people in small communes will suffer"... More dangerously, some anonymous accounts also attach negative arguments such as "this locality is at a disadvantage compared to that locality", "merger is a soft annexation", digging into local psychology, giving rise to the idea of comparison, division, and mutual suspicion among the people.
Such false information and one-sided speculations, if not identified and refuted promptly, will cause many people to have incorrect political awareness and lose faith in the Party and State, especially in the context of the work of reorganization and streamlining entering a drastic stage.
Currently, the work of reviewing and rearranging administrative units is being carried out in the correct order, publicly and democratically, but incorrect, incomplete or unofficial information on social networks can cause misunderstandings and errors.
In fact, in recent times, many communes, wards and towns after being merged have streamlined their apparatus, made infrastructure planning more convenient, and attracted investment for better development. People are not only not disadvantaged but also benefit from synchronous and quick public services. This is clear evidence that the arrangement of administrative units is for better development, unlike the distortions that some people are deliberately spreading.
Unfortunately, instead of seeing the reorganization policy as an opportunity for innovation, there are still many individuals who, due to lack of information or being influenced by local psychology, have developed doubts, fears, and even negative reactions.
Protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the current period is not only the work of the propaganda and mass mobilization sector, the steering committees, and the official press, but also the responsibility of every cadre and party member, especially at the grassroots level. When receiving information on social networks, each person needs to raise their vigilance, not share or comment arbitrarily without verifying the source of information; proactively detect and fight against erroneous and distorted viewpoints.
The role of voter contact conferences, party cell activities, and direct dialogues between leaders of local Party committees and authorities and the people should be promoted as “two-way information channels” to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the grassroots. When people understand and believe, no matter how difficult the policy is, it will be positively received.
The great national unity bloc is an invaluable asset that our Party always preserves and promotes. In every reform, reorganization of the apparatus or adjustment of administrative boundaries, the factor of maintaining trust and consolidating consensus must always be given top priority. That is not only a way to protect the Party's major policies but also a way to protect ourselves from the covert attacks of destructive forces.
Maintaining political and ideological purity means maintaining the Party's roots. To maintain that, each cadre, party member, and citizen, especially in the current era of information explosion, must be alert to all external influences, steadfast in their awareness, and steadfast in their belief in the Party's leadership.
The responsibility of each party member is to contribute to keeping the people's hearts from being divided, keeping their faith from being shaken, and keeping the country's spirit of self-reliance and self-reliance steadfast in the face of all changes.
