SJC gold price at the end of the week today, April 20, increased, regaining the level of 84 million VND

This morning (April 20), two domestic gold brands adjusted their prices up by 100,000-300,000 VND/tael following the increase in world gold prices.

At 10:00 a.m., Phu Quy Company is currently trading at 82-84 million VND/tael, an increase of 300,000 VND/tael compared to the previous session's close.

Similarly, Saigon Jewelry Company listed in Ho Chi Minh City area from 82-84 million VND/tael, also increased by 200,000 VND/tael compared to the previous closing price.

At the same time, Doji Hanoi Company also increased by 200,000 VND, currently the company listed the price of SJC gold from 81.65-83.85 million VND/tael.

Doji Company in Ho Chi Minh City also adjusted the price up by 150,000 VND. Currently, the company lists the price of SJC gold at 81.65-83.85 million VND/tael.

Notably, the difference in buying/selling price at these businesses is up to 2 million VND/tael.

At Bao Tin Minh Chau, the listed price of gold bars this morning was from 75.46-77.16 million VND/tael, an increase of 100,000 VND/tael compared to the previous closing price.

In the world, the price of gold fluctuated around 2,392 USD/ounce, up 8 USD/ounce compared to the same time last session. When converted, this precious metal is equivalent to 73.41 million VND, 10.6 million VND lower than the price of SJC gold.

In order to increase market supply and narrow the gap between domestic and world gold prices, on April 22, the State Bank will organize an auction to sell SJC gold bars with a total expected volume of 16,800 taels.

According to the State Bank's regulations, the deposit rate is 10%. The reference deposit price is 81.80 million VND/tael. The minimum bidding volume that a member is allowed to bid is 14 lots equivalent to 1,400 taels. The maximum bidding volume is 20 lots equivalent to 2,000 taels. The bidding price step is 10,000 VND/tael.

According to the State Bank, there are currently 26 units including commercial banks and gold trading enterprises establishing gold bar trading relationships with the State Bank. Up to this point, about 15 units are qualified to participate in the bidding.
