Although the price of gold is at its peak, the number of customers coming to buy gold at gold shops in Hanoi is quite large. Due to the high demand for gold, some gold shops in Hanoi limit the amount of purchases by stipulating that each customer can only buy 3 taels of gold. For SJC gold, the shops will sell until they run out.
In the world market, gold prices rose in the trading session on April 11, after the US announced weaker-than-expected producer price data, boosting expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will cut interest rates this year. In addition, persistent geopolitical concerns further strengthened the appeal of this precious metal.
Specifically, at the end of this session, the spot gold price increased by 1.1% to 2,360.52 USD/ounce. This gold price reached an all-time high for the eighth consecutive session on April 9. The US gold futures price increased by 1% to 2,372.7 USD/ounce.
