Following the Prime Minister's directive and the State Bank's announcement to increase the supply of gold bars, the price of 9999 gold rings plummeted by nearly 2 million VND/tael.

Meanwhile, the price of SJC gold bars today evaporated another 1.4 million VND/tael, to 83.1 million VND/tael.

At the end of the trading week, the world gold price fell from 2,430 USD/ounce to 2,342.9 USD/ounce, equivalent to a decrease of 87.1 USD/ounce (2.65 million VND/tael).

At the current price, converted according to the listed exchange rate at the bank, the world gold price is equivalent to 71.12 million VND/tael.

Today, April 13, the selling price of SJC gold bars at SJC Company decreased very quickly. The opening price of gold decreased by 800,000 VND/tael to 83.7 million VND/tael. By noon, the price of SJC gold bars decreased by another 600,000 VND/tael to 83.1 million VND/tael. The buying price was 80.6 million VND/tael.

PNJ Company also listed the buying and selling prices of SJC gold bars at the same level.

At gold shops, the decrease was stronger, to 82.5 million VND/tael, buying 81.1 million VND/tael, down 1.3 million VND/tael for selling and 1.5 million VND/tael for buying.

The selling price of gold rings also evaporated by millions of dong per tael.

At SJC Company, the selling price of 9999 gold rings decreased by 950,000 VND/tael, falling to 76.2 million VND/tael, buying price was 74.3 million VND/tael.

At PNJ Company, the price of 9999 gold rings decreased by 1 million VND/tael to 76.2 million VND/tael, the purchase price decreased by 1.15 million VND/tael to 74.3 million VND/tael.

The selling price of 9999 gold rings at DOJI Company plummeted by 1.9 million VND/tael, selling at 76.15 million VND/tael, buying at 74.05 million VND/tael.

The listed selling price of 9999 gold rings at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company decreased to 76.18 million VND/tael; buying price 74.18 million VND/tael. Decreased 1.5 million VND/tael in both buying and selling prices.

Compared to the converted world gold price, the price of SJC gold bars is 11.98 million VND/tael higher, while the price of 9999 gold rings is 5.05 million VND/tael higher.

According to experts, after many days of hot increase, the world gold price has plummeted, causing the psychology of gold holders to waver. In addition, the factor of gold supply promised to increase has caused the gold market to deflate today.

What is most needed now is action from the State Bank so that the gold market no longer increases rapidly and has high differences like in the past, in accordance with the State Bank's direction.
