Gold ring price up to nearly 95 million per tael

The price of gold bars and plain rings increased by nearly 1 million VND per tael this morning and set a new record, ranging from 94 - 95 million VND per tael.

At 10:00 a.m. on March 13, gold rings were raised to a record price by brands, in some places nearly 95 million VND per tael.

At Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC), each tael of gold ring increased by nearly 1 million VND, to 92.8 - 94.3 million VND.

Similarly, PNJ raised the price of plain rings to 93 - 94.5 million VND. At Bao Tin Minh Chau, plain rings increased to 93.3 - 94.9 million VND per tael.

Gold bars also increased with a corresponding amplitude and reached an all-time high. Compared to the beginning of the year, each tael of this type of gold is nearly 10 million VND higher, equivalent to nearly 11% more expensive.

Specifically, SJC listed the price of gold bars at 92.9 - 94.4 million VND, an increase of 1.1 million VND for buying and 900,000 VND for selling compared to yesterday. Other brands such as PNJ and Bao Tin Minh Chau also raised the price of this type of gold accordingly.

On the international market, spot gold is near its historic peak, currently trading around $2,944 an ounce. Converted to Vietcombank's selling rate, the world gold price is equivalent to VND91 million per tael. The difference between domestic and world gold is currently over VND3 million per tael.
