The price of gold bars and plain rings increased simultaneously this morning, of which gold rings increased to nearly 94 million VND per tael.
On the morning of March 12, Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed the price of gold rings up 600,000 VND for buying and 300,000 VND for selling, up to 91.6 - 93.2 million VND/tael, respectively.
Other brands even raised the selling price to nearly 94 million VND/tael, of which, PNJ raised the price of plain rings to 92.2 - 93.7 million VND/tael, Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 92.3 - 93.8 million VND/tael.
Gold bar prices also increased simultaneously. SJC Company announced around 91.6 - 93.3 million VND/tael, an increase of 600,000 VND for buying and 300,000 VND for selling compared to yesterday. Other brands such as PNJ and Bao Tin Minh Chau also raised their gold bar prices accordingly.
Domestic gold prices have recently increased faster than the world's, so the gap between the two markets has tended to widen, from the previous level of 1-2 million VND to more than 3 million VND.
In the international market, the spot gold price is around 2,915 USD/ounce, slightly up from yesterday but still nearly 40 USD/ounce lower than the record price. Converted according to Vietcombank's selling rate, the world gold price is equivalent to 90.1 million VND/tael, more than 3 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
