Nearly 400 players in Hai Duong start competing in the High School Badminton Tournament

On the morning of February 17, the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong opened the provincial high school badminton tournament for the 2024-2025 school year at the Provincial Children's House (Hai Duong City).

This year’s tournament attracted nearly 400 players from 44 high schools in the province (1 school less than last year). These are excellent athletes selected from school-level tournaments. The players competed in the following events: men’s doubles, women’s doubles, men’s singles, women’s singles and mixed doubles.

The tournament is expected to feature nearly 200 matches. On February 17 alone, there will be about 80 matches in the five categories above.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the men's doubles matches took place.

Closing ceremony and award ceremony on the afternoon of February 19.

At the Hai Duong High School Badminton Tournament for the 2023-2024 school year, Hong Quang High School won the overall title.

The high school badminton tournament organized annually by the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong has created a useful and healthy playground, attracting many students to participate, contributing to the development of sports movements in schools. This is also an opportunity to discover talented students, select and form teams to participate in sports competitions at all levels.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training successfully organized the Primary School Football Tournament and the Primary and Secondary School Chess Tournament in Hai Duong province for the 2024-2025 school year. It is expected that in March 2025, the High School Athletics Tournament will take place, then begin training to prepare for participation in a number of sports tournaments organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
