Nearly 4,800 poor and near-poor households in Gia Loc received policy loans

Nearly 4,800 poor and near-poor households in Gia Loc district have received policy loans through organizations to develop the economy and improve their quality of life.

This is the information stated in the mid-term assessment report on the implementation of the sustainable poverty reduction target program for the 2021-2025 period in the district.

Of the total amount of money disbursed by the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office through organizations to lend to poor and near-poor households, nearly 40% of households invested in production and business models to increase income; nearly 50% of households borrowed to build clean water and environmental sanitation works, the rest borrowed to create jobs, repair houses, etc.

According to surveys by professional agencies, poor and near-poor households in Gia Loc district all use loans for the right purposes. Thanks to that, up to now, the rate of poor households in Gia Loc district is 1.48% and near-poor households is 2.21%. This is one of the localities with the lowest rate of poor and near-poor households in the province.
