Galaxy S24 launched on January 17

The Korean company has sent invitations to partners and the media to attend the Unpacked 2024 event on January 17 in San Jose (USA), early morning January 18 Hanoi time. In the letter, Samsung emphasized "a completely new phone experience with AI technology".

Generative AI features are expected to be the highlight of the device. Previously, technology site Sammobile said Samsung would launch its first AI smartphone after launching the Gauss AI platform in November last year.

There is not much information about AI technology on Samsung smartphones. Some sources predict that the company may integrate a generative AI model, allowing users to use the technology without an Internet connection. Technology experts expect that Samsung's AI Phone can bring new experiences in editing images, videos, translating messages in real time, smart searching...

Samsung is expected to introduce three versions including Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra. Of which, Galaxy S24 Ultra could be one of the best camera phones this year. The device can integrate a 200 megapixel main camera, 12 megapixel ultra-wide angle, 10 megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a second 50 megapixel telephoto lens, 5x optical zoom.

According to Ice Universe, the S24 Ultra supports Nightography Zoom, which allows users to take photos remotely in low light conditions, as well as seamless zoom when recording 4K videos at 60fps. In addition, the 4K recording feature at high speed of 120 frames per second is also being tested and may appear on this model. The S24 Ultra will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal memory.

While the Galaxy S24 Ultra may feature a titanium frame, the standard S24 and S24+ will still feature an aluminum frame. The Super AMOLED display gets an upgrade with a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits. Windows Report Citing private sources, the trio comes in four colors: black, gray, purple and yellow.

However, Samsung will name each line differently, for example the colors on the Galaxy S24 and S24+ will be called onyx black, marble gray, cobalt purple and amber gold. Meanwhile, on the high-end model S24 Ultra, the colors are Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet and Titanium Yellow, due to the titanium frame.

Samsung may add a "satellite emergency messaging" feature to the Galaxy S24, allowing users to send out rescue requests in areas without phone signal.

According to Korea Economic Daily, the product's expected selling price remains the same as the previous generation, with the Galaxy S24 starting at $799.99, the S24+ starting at $999.99, and the S24 Ultra starting at $1,199.
