A mysterious MPV line has just been copyrighted by Ford in India.
RushLane, one of the most popular Indian auto magazines, discovered in April a very interesting Ford design patent.
Specifically, the new Blue Oval line of cars is in the MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) segment. The copyrighted design shows a stable, simple frame.
The front light cluster interface connected to the radiator looks quite common, not creating any special highlights. In contrast, the fog lamp cavity below is more unique with an arrow-shaped interface inside.
The side of the car also does not show any new or unique highlights. The round wheel arches are quite large, the embossed lines are placed low at the door and high at the tail, the chrome window frames and multi-spoke wheels are some of the observed equipment.
On the roof of the car appear a panoramic sunroof, luggage rack and shark fin antenna.
The rear of the car is temporarily unclear, only a part of the taillights can be seen on the side of the car. The distance between the rear axle and the tailgate is quite large, showing a spacious storage space, true to the MPV style in the back.
The design of the vehicle shown in the photo shows that the registered Ford MPV is completely new and not available in any other market. The simplicity of the design shows that this is a mass-market vehicle suitable for developing regions like India.
With the current design copyright registration time, it is likely that the Ford MPV model will only be launched in 2025. The car will compete with names such as Suzuki Ertiga, XL6, Kia Carens, Mitsubishi Xpander, Toyota Veloz Cross or Hyundai Stargazer.
