Ford Ranger Stormtrak launched in Vietnam, consolidating its position as the king of pickup trucks

On March 15, Ford Ranger Stormtrak was officially introduced in the Vietnamese market with 4 color options including white, gray, black and silver. Similar to Everest Platinum, the selling price of Ranger Stormtrak has not been announced.

However, customers will not have to wait too long. The car is expected to go on sale from the second week of April 2024 through online ordering on Ford's upcoming e-commerce platform.

What is Ford Ranger Stormtrak in Vietnam?

In terms of appearance, the Ford Ranger Stormtrak is more aggressive than the Wildtrak version. The front of the car has additional auxiliary lights on the decorative bar to help improve visibility in bad weather conditions.

The hood is fitted with the word RANGER in a contrasting colour. The newly designed radiator grille and the glossy black H-shaped front bumper with red trim create highlights. The 20-inch rims are similar to the Thai market.

In addition, Ford also equipped the Ranger Stormtrak with a support system that can withstand a dynamic load of 80kg and a static load of 250kg. The sports bar allows the driver to adjust 5 positions with just one hand.

The interior of the car looks sporty with leather seats in contrasting black and red. The backrests are embroidered with Stormtrak letters to differentiate them from the Wilktrak version.

Ford Ranger Stormtrak owns all the most advanced comfort technologies of the car line, including 8-way power seats, electronic gear lever cluster, 12.4-inch electronic screen behind the steering wheel, 12-inch entertainment screen connecting Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 6-speaker sound system, wireless charging, multiple USB ports, 230V power outlet...

Powering the car is a 2.0L Bi-Turbo engine with 210 horsepower and 500Nm maximum torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive.

In terms of safety technology, the car has full smart features such as electronic handbrake combined with Auto Hold, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping, emergency brake assist, blind spot warning combined with cross traffic.

In the Vietnamese market, Ford Ranger has continuously held the title of "pickup king" for 13 years now. In 2023, this model achieved sales of 16,085 vehicles, far surpassing Mitsubishi Triton (2,572 vehicles) or Mazda BT-50 (812 vehicles).

In February 2024, the American pickup truck sold 880 vehicles, leading the entire market in sales. In the pickup truck segment in Vietnam, the Ford Ranger has almost no competitors, accounting for more than 91% of the market share.
