Traditional boat racing brings good news to Hai Duong sports during the holiday

The 2024 National Traditional Boat Racing Championship on Nhat Le River (Quang Binh) has just ended after 5 days of competition. The Hai Duong traditional boat racing team has the core of rowing and canoeing athletes from Hai Duong competing for the prize, including 3 coaches and 17 athletes (4 women, 13 men from the Hai Duong provincial team), with the target of 2 bronze medals.

At the end of the tournament, the Hai Duong traditional rowing team won 2 gold medals and 2 bronze medals in the 1,000m and 500m mixed men's and women's events. Hai Duong ranked 3 gold medals behind the first place team, Ho Chi Minh City, and 1 gold medal behind the third place team, Vinh Phuc.

The 2024 National Traditional Rowing Championship took place in Quang Binh province from April 25, with the participation of over 400 rowers from 10 provinces, Hanoi, Quang Tri, Vinh Phuc, Da Nang, Hai Duong, Binh Thuan, Quang Nam, Thai Nguyen, Ho Chi Minh City and host Quang Binh. Athletes competed in 18 events: men, women and mixed men - women, boat types of 10, 20 rowers, distances of 1,000 m, 500 m and 200 m.
