Average housing floor area per capita in Hai Duong increased by about 10%

According to the report of the Department of Construction of Hai Duong province, implementing the Housing Development Plan for the period 2023-2025, by October 2024, in the province, there were 85 commercial housing development projects that had been approved for investment policy, with a land use scale of 213.69 hectares, reaching about 24% compared to the target for the period 2023-2025.

The average housing area per capita in the province is estimated at 32 m2.² floor/person. Residential floor area increased by nearly 7.7 million m², reaching about 51% of the target by 2025.

The average housing floor area per capita in the province has a clear upward trend. Compared to 2021, the average floor area per capita increased by 3.1 m²floor/person (increased by about 10%). It is expected that by the end of 2025, the average housing floor area will exceed the target. Hai Duong people have gradually improved in terms of housing quality, living space, and usable area, meeting the goals of the program and plan.

Housing development projects have made progress in terms of quantity, project scale and capacity of participating entities; diversified in product types, playing a particularly important role in creating momentum for socio-economic development, while contributing to the implementation of social security policies, gradually meeting people's housing needs.
