Recently, at the intersection of Chi Linh City bypass and National Highway 18 in Chi Minh Ward (Chi Linh, Hai Duong), traffic collisions frequently occurred, including one resulting in death.
The intersection between the bypass and National Highway 18 in Chi Minh Ward (Chi Linh) has been put into operation and use since July 2021, with a large number of people and vehicles passing by, especially during rush hour. Traffic collisions often occur at this intersection, some of which have resulted in fatalities.
Although there are traffic lights installed here, due to the arrangement of signal times for both straight and turning directions at the same time, many drivers do not pay attention, causing collisions. In addition, there are also some drivers who lack awareness and do not obey traffic lights.
In April 2023, Hai Duong Newspaper proposed "Adjusting traffic lights on National Highway 18" at this intersection, but so far there has been no change.
