Hanoi National University increases capacity assessment exam fees

The fee for the Hanoi National University's HSA exam this year is VND500,000/time, an increase of 66% compared to last year.

According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao, Director of the Examination Center of Hanoi National University, the fee of 500,000 VND/test is calculated correctly and fully, with revenue to cover expenses, the school only supports a small part of the cost of organizing the HSA exam. Last year, the school supported candidates with 50%.

Each candidate can only register for the exam a maximum of 2 times/year, each time at least 28 days apart.

Candidates who are suspended from the exam will have all their exam registration results, exam results, or registration records for untested cases canceled.

Works on one computer only

Professor Nguyen Tien Thao said that this year, the school's exam registration system has been upgraded in terms of transmission, server and security.

Candidates can only operate on one device (computer) to log in to their account, select exams, and pay fees.

Personal information to prepare: academic scores of 5 semesters (grades 10, 11 and semester 1 of grade 12), citizen identification number and photo, portrait photo of the candidate, contact information to send the score report.

“The registration information has not changed compared to last year, but we would like to remind candidates to provide the correct mailing address. In 2022, the post office returned some score reports because candidates provided incorrect mailing addresses. The postman also could not contact candidates via phone to deliver score reports,” Mr. Thao emphasized.

Candidates should note that after completing the registration procedures and selecting the appropriate exam session, they will have to pay the online fee within 96 hours. The registration and exam fees are non-refundable.

Since the number of registration seats is predetermined, candidates who cancel their exam will not receive a refund.

Can transfer exam results with Ho Chi Minh City National University

According to Professor Nguyen Tien Thao, in 2022, more than 60 universities announced that they will use HSA exam results for admission.

“From the 2022 capacity assessment test data, we have researched and proposed a tool to convert HSA test scores of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University. Therefore, many southern universities may use HSA test results for admission. Similarly, northern universities have more opportunities to attract candidates from the South to study from the source of candidates taking the capacity assessment test.”

The scale of each exam session is expected to have from 8,000 to 20,000 candidates. This year's exam aims to serve over 70,000 candidates.

Hanoi National University is making a detailed plan to organize 8 exam sessions from March 10 to June 4. The exam days will mainly take place on weekends.

Candidates register from February 6 for the March-April exams, and from March 18 for the May-June exams.

Exams will only close when all registered seats are filled or at least 14 days before the official exam. Exam information and exam admission notices will be sent to candidates via email 7 days before the exam or can be found on the school's website.
