“I feel quite nervous,” the Hai Duong student shared. With good academic performance, having participated in excellent student competitions and a passion for engineering, dreaming of studying at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ha Anh said that the Thinking Assessment exam is her main goal in this year’s admissions season.

“I registered for two rounds of exams. In this first round, I set a goal of 80 points. I hope that from this round I will gain more experience to achieve 90 points or more in the second round because the admission score of the University of Science and Technology is very high,” Ha Anh said.

This is the first year Hanoi University of Science and Technology organizes the Thinking Assessment exam entirely on computers.

Associate Professor Tran Trung Kien - Head of Admissions Department, Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that when candidates take the online exam on the computer, the invigilator will use the exam monitoring software during the time the candidates log into the exam software and take the exam. The invigilators are all thoroughly trained in situations that may occur in the exam room and how to handle them; trained in controlling items allowed in the exam room; and preventing candidates from intentionally cheating or taking photos of the exam.

In addition, this year is also the first year that Hanoi University of Science and Technology uses the CCCD card data authentication solution with a chip connecting the data of the Ministry of Public Security and FPT. IDCheck is integrated in authenticating candidate information with 100% accuracy to check security before candidates enter the exam room. This model helps to significantly save costs in organizing and participating in exams, avoiding exam fraud such as fake candidates or proxy candidates.

According to statistics from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the total number of registrations for this year's Thinking Assessment exam is 19,225. The exam is held in 9 exam clusters including Hanoi, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen and Da Nang.

The next exams will take place on June 17 and July 8.

Previously, Hanoi University of Science and Technology organized trial exams (February 25, April 2, May 13 and May 21) and an online exam on April 9, standardizing the exam organization process, ensuring safety, security and confidentiality according to regulations. Hanoi University of Science and Technology also coordinated with VTV7 to launch a series of lectures "Conquering the Thinking Assessment Exam" so that candidates can self-study and prepare well for the exam.
