Hanoi University of Science and Technology maintains the same admission methods but reduces the number of admission quotas based on graduation exam scores and adds a new combination.
This morning, January 15, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced its plan for regular university enrollment in 2025.
This year, the school plans to recruit 9,680 students through three methods: talent selection (20% of total enrollment), thinking assessment (40%) and based on high school graduation exam scores (40%).
With talent selection, the school recruits directly based on international certificates and capacity profile review combined with interviews.
Candidates in this category include national and international excellent students; with an average score of 8 or higher in grades 10, 11, and 12, and an SAT or ACT certificate; with excellent academic performance in high school and having competed in provincial excellent student competitions, the Road to Olympia competition of a month or more, specialized students...
With the method of evaluating thinking scores, candidates must attend the exam organized by the school. This year, the school organized 3 rounds, the first round took place on January 18-19.
Compared to last year, this year Hanoi University of Science and Technology reduced 10% of the enrollment quota based on graduation exam scores, switching to considering based on thinking assessment scores.
In addition, the school added an additional admission combination called K01 (math, literature combined with one of the four subjects physics/chemistry/biology/IT). With this combination, when calculating scores, math is multiplied by a coefficient of 3, literature by a coefficient of 1, and the remaining subjects by a coefficient of 2.
The school continues to convert VSTEP English certificates or international certificates equivalent to IELTS 5.0 or higher into English subject scores when considering admission based on graduation exam scores in groups that include this subject.
