Son staged a robbery of 2 million USD from his father

On March 23, Tay Ninh Provincial Police initially clarified the robbery case, detained at least 2 people involved in the robbery, and recovered all the foreign currency. The mastermind suspect is the victim's son, who coordinated with the robbery group to stage the robbery to steal 2 million USD from the family.

For those who are still on the run, the investigation agency is coordinating with the Criminal Police Department (C02, Ministry of Public Security) and other provinces and cities to arrest Dao Xuan Loc (33 years old), Nguyen Tuan Anh and Nguyen Anh Duy (both 32 years old) under a special wanted order for robbery.

According to sources from the investigation agency, the son knew that his parents had just received 2 million USD, so he colluded with Loc, Tuan Anh, and Duy to plan to appropriate it. On the afternoon of March 10, after knowing where the family kept the money, the group pretended to be police officers and went to the victim's house in Tay Ninh province, demanding an explanation of the origin of the foreign currency and then "inviting him to the police station for questioning".

Thinking it was a real police officer, the victim agreed and prepared his belongings to go to the police station to prove that the money was legal. When he was not paying attention, the robbers took the money and escaped. The victim reported the incident to Tay Ninh Police.

During the investigation, the police clarified the robbery group's scenario and identified the suspects as Loc, Tuan Anh, and Duy, so they issued a wanted warrant.

Tay Ninh Provincial Police announced that any citizen who knows the information or whereabouts of the three suspects has the right to arrest them or report them to the nearest police agency, prosecutor's office, or People's Committee. "Family and friends should persuade and encourage the three above-mentioned people to surrender to enjoy the leniency of the law. In case of intentional concealment or failure to report, they will be handled according to the provisions of the law," the wanted notice stated.
