Arresting a gang specializing in staging pickpocketing and theft scenes at Tam Chuc Pagoda

In the process of performing the task of preventing crime, serving the people and tourists during the spring festival, the working group of the Criminal Police Department in coordination with the Office of the Investigation Police Agency, Ha Nam Provincial Police and functional units discovered and arrested 6 subjects who had committed acts of pickpocketing and stealing property of tourists participating in the festival.

During the investigation, it was initially determined that the group was led by Pham Luong Tung (born in 1985), residing in Bach Mai, Thanh Nhan ward, Hai Ba Trung district (Hanoi) and 5 other subjects.

The seized items included: 8 mobile phones of various types, nearly 6 million VND and a number of other related objects and documents. It is known that Tung has a previous conviction for theft of property.

Currently, the police are continuing to investigate to handle the subjects according to the provisions of the law.
