On the morning of October 28, continuing the program of the 8th Session, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the Report of the Supervisory Delegation and the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on the results of the thematic supervision of "implementation of policies and laws on real estate market management and social housing development from 2015 to the end of 2023".

Speaking at the discussion in the hall, delegate Nguyen Thi Viet Nga, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province, proposed to add to the monitoring results the content of subjects accessing social housing, which is sometimes incorrect or incorrect.

"There is a current situation where there are people who own social housing who are not eligible for this incentive, not policy beneficiaries, not poor households, near-poor households or low-income people according to regulations," said delegate Nguyen Thi Viet Nga.

This situation has many reasons, but there are violations and errors in reviewing social housing purchase applications, and there are law-breaking acts to buy and resell social housing. The Russian delegate hopes that the monitoring delegation will consider this issue and make specific recommendations in the draft resolution of the National Assembly, continuing to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation of legal policies on real estate market management and social housing development. Add content to strengthen the inspection of social housing owners and the process, procedures, and approval of social housing rental and purchase records to detect and handle related violations.

Delegates suggested that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor soon implement projects to build social housing for workers, especially in industrial centers with urgent need for housing for workers.

Faced with the fact that social housing prices are still quite high compared to the income of beneficiaries, delegate Nguyen Thi Viet Nga suggested that localities pay special attention to developing social housing for rent to make it easier for people to access.
