Ms. Hoang Thi San, 35 years old, teacher at Le Thanh Nghi Secondary School (Gia Loc, Hai Duong) is a good geography teacher, contributing a lot to the educational achievements of the school and district.
Talking to us, Ms. Hoang Thi San expressed her joy when she and her students had just had a bumper crop in the provincial-level 9th grade excellent student selection exam for the 2023-2024 school year. The Gia Loc district geography excellent student competition team trained by Ms. San had 10 students, all of whom won prizes, including 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 6 third prizes, and 2 consolation prizes.
The above achievements helped the geography team of Gia Loc district to rank first in the province. Ms. San won the title of excellent teacher at the district and provincial levels.
For Ms. San, the above achievement is slightly better than previous years but is not too surprising. Since the 2019-2020 school year, the district's geography team trained by Ms. San has continuously achieved high results in provincial exams. In the provincial exam for excellent 9th grade middle school students in the 2019-2020 school year, 8/10 students in the team trained by Ms. San won prizes and the team ranked first in the team.
According to Ms. San, to achieve and maintain the above achievements, the most important thing is to convey the inspiration, enthusiasm, and passion of teachers for the subject to students. Along with the capacity and qualities of each student, it is very important for teachers to regularly accompany, nurture, and develop the strengths of each student.
Ms. San has erased the prejudice that geography is a minor subject for students by making them more interested and passionate about this subject. She regularly searches, researches, consults the internet and learns from colleagues about attractive and effective geography teaching methods to apply in practice. Ms. San's lessons often focus on the interaction between teachers and students; apply information technology and integrate knowledge games to make students more excited and active in learning.
