The story of a person who gave birth to a third child joining the Party

When meeting Mrs. Luyen after the An Dien Kim village Party cell (Cong Hoa commune) held its regular September meeting, Hai Duong Newspaper reporter saw Mrs. Luyen very excited. Few people know that becoming a party member and attending the Party cell meeting was a long journey for Mrs. Luyen because she had given birth to her third child.

Ms. Phung Thi Luyen (born in 1964), former Vice Principal of An Binh Commune Kindergarten, is the first person in Nam Sach district to be admitted to the Party after giving birth to her third child. This year, Ms. Luyen is 59 years old but has only been a Party member for nearly 9 years.

In 1990, while working as Vice Principal of Cong Hoa Commune Kindergarten and striving to join the Party, Ms. Luyen was pregnant with her third child, so the journey to join the Party of the female Vice Principal had to be extended.

From 1990 to 2013, Ms. Luyen attended the Party Sympathy Course 3 times. Ms. Luyen achieved many achievements in her professional work, had good moral qualities, and a high sense of striving. She was awarded the title of "talented teacher - healthy and obedient children" at the provincial level, excellent teacher, and grassroots emulation fighter...

Regulation No. 173-QD/TW, dated March 11, 2013 of the Secretariat on re-admission of Party members expelled from the Party and admission of people who violate population and family planning policies into the Party has opened up opportunities for Ms. Luyen.

“Because I wanted to join the Party so that my children could follow me and fulfill their schoolwork, I made constant efforts. Every time the commune or district created conditions for me to attend a Party sympathizing class, I tried to study seriously and was not discouraged despite many failures,” Ms. Luyen shared.

Ms. Luyen's tireless efforts have been duly rewarded. The Party admission ceremony of the female Vice Principal of An Binh Commune Kindergarten took place on November 19, 2014, right before Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20. Ms. Luyen still remembers the emotional and trembling feeling when reading the oath. The comrades of the Organizing Committee of Nam Sach District Party Committee and the communes of Cong Hoa and An Binh at that time all said that this case of Party admission was rare in the history of Party admission in the district.

Since being admitted to the Party, Ms. Luyen no longer feels sad or sorry every time she sees the Party cell in action. Studying and implementing the Party's directives and resolutions has helped her mature politically, contributing to better management work. In 2018, Ms. Luyen was awarded a certificate of merit by the An Binh Commune Party Committee for her excellent performance.

Retiring in 2019, Ms. Luyen found that becoming a party member was even more meaningful. Through the activities of the village party cell, Ms. Luyen grasped the key tasks to be carried out. Mr. Nguyen Phu Nhan, Party Cell Secretary and Head of An Dien Kim village commented: “In the village party cell, Ms. Luyen is an exemplary party member. In all common tasks in the village, Ms. Luyen is enthusiastic and plays a good role as a party member.”
