Rising river water causes the riverbank area specializing in growing vegetables in Duc Chinh commune (Cam Giang) to be flooded.

Rising river water has caused some river banks in the province to be flooded. Currently, the area outside the river banks is not large for growing vegetables because it is in the transition period. However, there are still some areas of herbs, watermelons, cantaloupes, etc. outside the banks that people have not yet harvested.

Because it is in the transition period, the area for growing vegetables on the riverbank is not large.

Previously, many yards outside the dike had been cleared of materials and structures to ensure flood escape corridors. However, on September 9, some yards were still loaded on the surface.

Due to the rising river water level, the sluice gates across the dike will be closed. The sluice gates opened to serve the drainage must be organized to be on duty 24/24 hours and must be closed when the river water level is higher than in the field.

According to forecasts, from September 10-11, the water level in Hai Duong area will continue to rise by 1-3 m. Thai Binh, Kinh Thay, Rang rivers... are likely to reach alert level II. The Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue has issued telegram No. 09, issuing an alarm on Thai Binh River, requesting all levels and sectors to urgently deploy response measures when the river water rises.
