In 2024, Hai Duong province has more than 23,500 candidates registered to take the 2024 national high school graduation exam, an increase of nearly 1,600 students compared to last year. Of which, nearly 70% of candidates registered for the social science exam, nearly 29% registered for the natural science exam, and the rest were independent candidates registering for subjects they did not pass in the previous exam.

The 2024 high school graduation exam will take place from June 26-28. On June 26, candidates will complete the exam registration procedures. On June 27, they will take the literature and math exams. On June 28, they will take the foreign language exam and one of two combined exams: natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) and social sciences (history, geography, civics for general education; or history, geography for continuing education). Candidates studying continuing education can register for a foreign language exam for university admission if they need to. This is also the final high school graduation exam according to the old 2006 general education program.
